His designs are an exploration of form, shape, colour & proportion. All comes together in his furniture collection bruut., the crystal table pieces and the porcelain tableware range. Ruud’s collections consist of stronge shapes in which sustainability is an indispensable aspect.

Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

The Stedelijk Museum was founded in 1874 by a group of private citizens in Amsterdam, led by C.P. van Eeghen, who donated funds and their art collections to establish a museum in the capital of the Netherlands that would be devoted to modern art. The collection, housed at first at the Rijksmuseum, was moved in 1895 into the Museum’s own building, designed by A.W. Weissman.

In the iconic Thonik building at the Wibautstraat, GLUE participants and influential Amsterdam creatives will be interviewed by journalists, including Jeroen Junte, Marsha Simon, and Viveka van de Vliet, about their business, vision, and inspirations, but also about the overarching GLUE theme, ‘The City is ours’, which is inspired by the fact that we are travelling less and fewer tourists are coming to Amsterdam, making the city and its economy ours again. The interviews will be about unusual ways of doing business, about Amsterdam as a self-sufficient ecosystem where designers, architects, showrooms, and brands work together.
